Now Content Manager can complement Castlepoint: Castlepoint Connector integrates Content Manager with Castlepoint to undertake a ‘handover’ of vital records to Content Manager, and/or to create a manage-in-place record in Content Manager. This provides a corporate store of vital records and a single point of search, while also managing Castlepoint record versions, and applying disposition to Castlepoint records effortlessly.

Working together to provide best practice

Many organisations purchase Castlepoint, which applies in-place records management for Microsoft 365 and other business applications. However, compliance conscious organisations need their vital records to be securely managed to high levels of compliance in a strong corporate store and preserved for the long term. Content Manager is perfect for this.

Vital records can be identified through Castlepoint and either captured into Content Manager or managed-in-place using Content Manager’s manage-in-place capability. Additionally, Castlepoint Connector covers functions for all Castlepoint records where Castlepoint relies on source systems to perform these functions, including tracking version changes and executing final disposal processes.

Using the Castlepoint Connector, Content Manager’s manage-in-place capability is automatically applied to Castlepoint records to track version changes of the record at source, as well as enacting final disposal processes. The additional benefit of using the Castlepoint Connector is the existence of a single point of search for all records using Content Manager.
